2019 SASRF Sundowner
Volunteers, supporters, sponsors, donors, Board members, Committee members and SASRF staff enjoyed the annual SASRF Sundowner held in beautiful setting of the St George’s College Quad on the 21st November. This event coincided with the release with the Fund’s 2019 Newsletter https://www.sasresourcesfund.org.au/newsletter-2019
This event is the Fund’s opportunity to thank all those whose support throughout 2019 has meant that the Fund is able to holistically support our beneficiaries. Your support has meant that we have been able to not only provide our beneficiary children with education and associated costs, but we’ve so been able to provide such indispensable items such as two wheelchairs for two beneficiaries and supported one beneficiary with vocational study costs which has led to employment.
In his speech SASRF Chairman Greg Solomon highlighted that the support for the Fund comes in a variety of ways such as:
Donations – be that of money, holiday homes to be used by current SAS Regiments members for respite, auction items and wine for functions,
Time – volunteers at events, legal advice, accounting services, Committee and Board members,
Financial – purchasing tickets to events and purchasing auction items and also such initiatives as donating back a percentage of money from the sale of the SASR Golden Jubilee Rose.
Whatever your contribution to the Fund in 2019, please know it was received gratefully and we look forward to seeing you in 2020.
