"While the ever changing regional and global dynamics generate so much uncertainty, despite advancements in military technology, it is very hard to envisage a future where there will not be a need to place selected and highly skilled personnel into the very extremes of harm’s way, whether that be in training or on operations. Vis-à-vis our responsibility to ensure the Fund has the wherewithal to meet the demands of that uncertain future as it affects the Regimental members and their families.
We have a pressing challenge. The Fund is working to ensure it has the mechanisms and resources required to play a tangible and importantly non-judgemental role in supporting those directly and indirectly impacted. We view objectively all future circumstance generating significant hardship for members and families of the SAS Regiment and we intend to be there for those in need."
Dr Grant Walsh CSM, SAS Resources Fund, Chairman
“Every time our soldiers step forward into the breach, they do so confident in the knowledge that should they fall in the service of this country, the Fund has their back, and will continue to take care of that which is most precious to them.”
Commanding Officer, SAS Regiment 2015-2016
